Recent Success Story
A Miami Township officer on patrol received a Flock alert for a stolen vehicle. The officer stopped the vehicle. Two handguns and narcotics were recovered. Two suspects were arrested. Miami Township officers responded to an assisted living facility for a van that was stolen. A Flock camera showed the van entering Lowe's parking lot in Miami Township shortly after the theft. The suspect was seen on surveillance video leaving Lowe's with items he purchased and walking back to the stolen van. Subsequently, the suspect was arrested later that evening at Miami Valley Gaming by Warren County Deputies and was found in possession of the keys to the stolen van. The suspect was charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Miami Township officers responded to a local business for a theft of a trailer. Surveillance footage was available at the scene that showed the suspect in his vehicle committing the offense. Utilizing Flock cameras, detectives were able to locate the suspects vehicle. This generated a lead that allowed officers to execute a search warrant at the suspects residence where evidence of the crime was located. The suspect was charged with Theft. Several firearms were reported stolen from a pawn shop in Miami Township. A suspect was named in the case. During the investigation, detectives were able to locate the suspects vehicle on Flock cameras in the Dayton area shortly after the offense occurred. A check of Dayton pawn shops resulted in one of the firearms being recovered. The suspect was interviewed and was eventually arrested for the theft of the firearms.
