Overview
The Palo Alto (CA) Police Department uses Flock Safety technology to deter criminal activity and assist in criminal investigations by providing real-time alerts to police when stolen or wanted vehicles enter an area and offering enhanced investigative capabilities when a crime has already occurred. Privacy safeguards consistent with ACLU recommendations have been put in place. Policies and usage statistics have been made available to the public via the Flock Transparency Portal.
