Overview
The Rehoboth Beach Police Department leverages Flock Safetys public safety technology to enhance community safety while upholding individual privacy. This system allows our agency to: Conduct retroactive searches of captured data to aid in solving crimes after they occur. Receive real-time alerts for vehicles on law enforcement hotlists, helping to locate suspects and apprehend wanted individuals. To ensure transparency, accountability, and responsible use, we have established strict policies and safeguards governing this technology. The Rehoboth Beach Police Department is committed to making these policies and usage statistics publicly available, reinforcing our dedication to both public safety and the protection of civil liberties.

Acceptable Use Policy
Captured data is used exclusively for legitimate law enforcement purposes. All data is owned by the Rehoboth Beach Police Department and is never sold or shared with third parties.
Prohibited Uses
Immigration enforcement, traffic enforcement, harassment or intimidation, usage based solely on a protected class (i.e. race, sex, religion), Personal use or non-official purpose.
Access Policy
Access to the system requires a valid case number. Access records are stored indefinitely. System usage is audited every 90 days to ensure compliance.
Hotlist Policy
Hotlist hits are required to be human-verified before any enforcement action is taken.

Search Usage Report
A downloadable CSV that makes public all searches done in the last 30 days by any user in the organization. The CSV consists of 4 columns: Unique Anonymized ID of the search, Unique Anonymized ID of the user, the number of cameras searched, the reason listed for the search.
